Kim Victoria Cattrall, born August 21, 1956 in London, is a British and Canadian actress. She was best known for her role as Samantha Jones on the HBO show Sex and the City. In this role, she was awarded the Golden Globe Award for 2002 as the best supporting female actor. She reprised the part for Sex and the City 2 Sex and the City films (2008) as well as Sex and the City 2 (2009). In the 1980s she played lead roles on the television show Police Academy Big Trouble Little China Mannequin and Porky's. Kim Cattrall is most often associated with her popular HBO show, Sex & the City, where she played Samantha Jones. Cattrall is well-known as an actress whose portrayal Samantha Jones in the popular TV sitcom Sex and The City marked a pivotal moment in her professional career. Anita Ekberg...................Anita Ekberg was a Swedish actress who appeared in several European as well as American films. Her most famous role is her performance in the drama comedy La Dolce Vita. It was a huge critical and commercial success and won both the Golden Palm and Oscar at Cannes Film Festival 1960. Prior to her career as an model, the model from Skane worked in fashion. She went on to win in the Miss Sweden contest. After she left Sweden for the US and starred in a variety of movies as a minor role, her career took off. Her first credited role was in the film Abbott and Costello Go to Mars in which she was the part of a Venusian guard. Following that, after appearing as an unknown in Blood Alley she was awarded the Golden Globe in the most likely category.
